Kirjastogalleriassa (Valtatie 26 E) on 2.-31.1.2024 esillä Enrico Mazzonen taidenäyttely ”Vanhan tarinan loitsuja”. Näyttely on avoinna kirjaston aukioloaikoina (myös omatoimiaikoina).

Italialainen taiteilija tulkitsee piirroksissaan Kalevalaa ja sen arkkityyppejä totutusta poikkeavalla tyylillä:

”The aim of the exhibition is to present a collection of prints based on the heritage of Kalevala. As we all know already the text and the first approach with the author´s consolidation, in the modern times it seems to me more interesting to step out from the conventional reproduction of the story.

More than a fascination, other minor and more local representations of the main characters, will train the audience to see the archetypical side. And that is how I came up with a broader and wider view of the Kalevala's topic: as a pre-existent blue print on the Finnish Historical Heritage.”
